Default 3,000 miles on the clock

Don’t know if this has already been posted and nothing to do with me. Was visiting my daughter and granddaughter this morning and saw this in a garage just outside Edinburgh. Garage was closed and not the best photo due to the wire mesh. V683FYA 2.0litre club spec in what looks like launch car wedge wood blue pearlescent. Did an mot check and it’s only done just over 3,000 miles in 22 years!!!! Mot and tax expired. Ticket for £8,000 in the window. With that mileage it’s a museum piece in my opinion. If anyone is interested the garage is called Roseisle in Whitecraig. Appear to specialise on motor homes.

Problem is if you use it, it will be worth nothing in comparison - otherwise you store it and it will deteriorate. I like low mileage examples, but not that low. Have just bought a 53 plate Club SE diesel automatic with a genuine 45,000 miles on the clock in truly mint condition - should last a few years, and good value at £1,495.

If you bought it to use you’d spend another couple of thousand on recommissioning it. Probably on its original timing belts etc!! It would only go down in value like you say.
