Morning all - from a gloriously sunny and warm North Yorkshire. We had a lovely peaceful, lazy weekend - well, apart from Sunday that is.
Next door neighbour invited half a dozen of his mates round and they all proceeded to wash their cars on his drive, using his pressure washer - cue non-stop 'angry hornet' noise for most of the afternoon

...and I bet he didn't offer to do yours either! I never use electrical garden tools on Sundays or Bank Holidays unlike many other folk. Consideration makes for peace and harmony.

If air spaced then moisture can travel the whole way downtime inside of the cable and into the tv socket. This usually happens when the plastic cover on the aerial comes off/cracks etc. Not the case for you obviously.
Usually happens over a long period. When you re did the connection with the new cable on the aerial it would have likely been obvious. The connections on the aerial would be badly weathered and the old cable gone a nice shade of verdigris
Thanks Jeff its solid white and the connection was a bit dirty but not rusty. The cable was initially brown but had turned grey on the roof area.

Glorious day here. Suffering a bit though, spent two hours plus on my hands and knees pulling weeds amongst the gravel in the garden yesterday, wrists are nagging like hell today.

|No such offer in sight I'm afraid - to cap matters off, they all set to and hoovered out their cars, using a 'Henry' vacuum cleaner which is also pretty noisy

Went out to do a bit in the garden, ended up doing a very wee bit! Its verging on unpleasantly hot, 28 degrees on the thermometer on the wall and it was in the shade of a hanging basket!

Absolutely sizzling this afternoon, too much. I've been finding places in the garden for some of these Nasturtiums, Holly hock & Cosmos, they're HUGE & too big for 20 litre pots .

Been with my sister to exchange Mams electric disability scooter for a better one with bigger wheels & got a great deal on a 12 month old used one.

Herby potato wedgies with BBQ ribs which were much spicier than the last lot we got, I think me lips have just fell off. Good excuse to sup some ice cold Henry's
