Morning all.

Overcast but still quite bright here. And dry. And pretty warm .

Just a trifle miffed at the moment - insert your own phrase here to convey the reality......

Bathroom fitter has let us down. Have to do a complete rearrange of the bank holiday weekend as we should have been up North babysitting. Now we're at home, short notice babysitter has been arranged and our other son is spending his Bank Holiday weekend with us desperately trying to get us fitted out with at least a toilet as it's a complete strip out to 4 walls, bare ceiling and back to the boards floor. .

Wish us luck.

And another thing. I'm sure my temperature display is broken. Yesterday I saw some numbers on it that haven't been there before.

There was "2" then a "0" then a ".5"

Morning. Day two of 5am rises, went back to bed about 6:30, dozed for about an hour then actually managed to sleep . . . . until DPD rang the doorbell and dumped a parcel at 8:00, gave up

G'day fellow sun worshippers - it's almost a Spring morning here, with some long overdue warmth in the sun.
Today's highlight for us is a visit to the hairdressers for a bit of a tidy up, followed by a short trip to a local town market for some extra strong ginger biscuits

Sky here a uniform light grey. Like this all morning - looks like we are under the mist.

Had hoped it would have burnt off by now.

Quite warm tho. At least no rain!

Supposed to be going around throwing fertiliser at the pots, tubs etc in the garden but cloud keeps building up as if its going to rain then it fizzles away again.

Great news last night, the Indian variety is in the hospital Ging works at. I've only had my first jab (2nd on Wed) so I have very limited protection against it should she inadvertently being it home with her despite showers etc.

I need to book my second jab, I tried last week when I got the letter but only Bolton vaccination centre available, I said no thanks I'm not going anywhere near that place. I said I'll ring back when the vaccination centre at rugby club in Leigh is available, keep forgetting

I was waiting patiently until my other half mentioned the Indian strain was in the hospital. Been reading that the first jab only gives about 35% protection against it, need the second one to boost protection to 80% which is much better odds.
