have you checked the plenum?
Under the bonnet of the near side just in front of the windscreen, there is a mesh, under this a plastic cover, under this the pollen filter and ECU both in the plenum. To remove the plastic cover remove the first three plastic pegs that hold the plastic cover at the bottom of the windscreen, they pop out with the help of a small flat bladed screw driver. At the bottom of the plenum near the off side side of the pollen filter is a drain, this can often get blocked and you get a build up of water macafee2 |

Looked down there. Its all dry but there are bits of leaves I think will look better in morning . The side you can see down is the drivers

I would try the battery reset, just to see what happens. Then check the plugs behind the LSM

Remove the LSM (light switch module) held in place by three (3) Phillips screws, the unplug the connector harness, take it out of the car and carefully check the pin terminal for signs of discolouration (green corrosion) if you find any use some electrical contact cleaner and a small detailing paint brush to clean the pins, then retry it.
Had to do this on a few 75’s Mick
