It appears there is some confusion with the punctuation of the post relating to the faults.
I believe there are two faults:
1 reverse sensors long beep only ( probably a faulty sensor)
2 car juddering under braking. (possibly warped disks but could be many other things.)

There could be a lot of faults that cause judder, mostly expensive ones too. If you are serious about a 75 then wait, you'll be in it for the long haul if you get the right one. There's a few good ones left out there and we'll advise or look over them for you as required, we're a strong club and work together very well for these cars. Welcome to the madness.

Hi all
The person that has the 1.8 for sale has done the work himself as he has a old jag in his garage. Which he has done all the work on. Only reason he is selling the 1.8 is hes not using it and want it to go to a good home

You have several local members around you. perhaps one of them might be able to give it a look over for you if you are concerned?

Hi all
Thank you for your help the last few days. I am now a proud owner of my first 75 1.8 connoisseur se. She only has 54,000 miles on her clock.

Congrats. Nothing much to worry about in the MOT history although you will probably need to replace the front drop links before the next test but no surprise there.
Hope you enjoy her
