Good advice Andy.

Annoyingly I had a dash painted in Trophy Blue. It's cracked around the vents.

Yep, seen it a few times, annoying after time and money have been invested.

My current dash has a crack. Will just have to wait until something suitable pops up.

Andy did a great Copperleaf one for my cdti, luckily I had already found a genuine Blue Monogram dash which I put in the V8

been working on my dashboard the last couple of weekends to make a monogram one. Went for copperleaf and pleased with how it's turned out.

Used a metal backed one as a starting point and rubbed it down and started with a coat of etch primer and then built up with primer and top coat. Just need to apply the top coat of lacquer, although I quite like the finish of just the base coat at the moment, so don't know whether to just use a satin finish lacquer?

Early Rhodium ZT dash items are metal backed and I have not seen them crack either. Probably a better starting point than the wood ones as well.
