Thoroughly enjoyed most of these tho' the wolseley needed 2 weetabix to steer, the mini was a mid life crisis and the most uncomfortable motor I've ever had and the Range Rover P38 was gutless until remapped and probably my worst buy ever as far as reliability was concerned.

Warrenby - I haven't got that kind of money Brian

It was a garage called Wentane Motors, owned by a lovely bloke called Ian Burden, in Yarm Road, Stockton. Met him through my brother who worked across the road at Fred Dinsdale's Rover dealership. He was a keen amateur rally driver - a bit like me, only a lot more amateur in my case

Default How many cars have I owned

Total of seven in 46 years since passing my driving test around 1972:

Heinkel 175cc bubble car (3-wheeler)
Honda Civic
Honda Accord
Toyota Corolla 1.3
Toyota Corolla 1.6
Daihatsu Charade
Rover 75 2.0D Tourer Connie

I bought the Rover second-hand in 2004 and it’s still serving me well and is the best car I’ve had. Its fuel economy is better than the 175cc single cylinder bubble car easily on a long run and is infinitely more comfortable! (It’s been serviced by Jules for at least the last 10 years!)

I've lost count. Possibly approaching 150. Maybe more.
My first car was 1979 at age 9. Anglia van. Drove it round the fields.
By the time I went to secondary school I was at twenty.

When I met my wife aged 22 I was in the 90+ total. I did list them all around that time. When she asked me "how many cars do you actually have?" I counted 33 at once! Most were cheap bangers rotting away. But also included 5 Range Rovers, 5 Jag XJs an XJS, a Beach Buggy 6 MGBs and 2 Midgets. And 6 Daimler DS420s.
I've had anything from a Lada Niva and FSO pickup to a Bentley S1. At the same time!

In 2008 I discovered Porsche 924s. Awesome cars, especially the Turbo. So easy to work on. Cheap. Reliable. Great daily drivers. After 23 of those in 8 years I had to walk away. They nearly cost me my marriage.

For me it was an addiction. A real problem. Getting in debt to buy more cars. My poor Mother had 11 parked in her garden at one point!

Now, about to turn 50 I think I have it out of my system.
I have the ZT. A ZT for spares. A 75 spares car as it's the same colour as my ZT.
I have 2 Mini Cooper S R53. One road going which my 18 yo seems to think is his, one spares car. Another R50 Mini Cooper for parts. A Peugeot 3008 which the missus uses and my Daimler DS420 which ive had nearly 30 years.
I've never had so few for nearly 40 years!
I have to stay off ebay because I cant stop looking at classic cars

Should have kept the Heinkel . Doesn't take up a lot of room and requires no food. Worth now about 15000?
Of little practical use, of course, but so interesting.

Here is my list, in rough chronological order, starting with my first wife's little Renault 4, which I learned to drive in:

Learned on a Renault 4 aged 25
Simca 1501 with sliding back windscreen age 26
Mini Countryman age 27
Renault 5 TS
Bought Peugeot 204 from mother-in-law age 28
Renault 18 TS Company car 30
Renault 9 GTS Company car 30
Colt Galant turbo Company car 32 (purchased it when left company to replace the Passat)
VW Passat Company car 33
BMW M535i 37
Renault 4 37
Ford Fiesta 39
Fiat Tipo 40
Rover 214 41
Fiat Tipo 42
Lancia Dedra 43
Fiat Marea 44
BMW M5 (year 1992) 47
Saab 900 48
Volvo 742 49
Fiat Uno 49
Toyota Soarer twin turbo 50
Toyota Soarer twin turbo again 51
Nissan Micra 51 (new, auto, for the missus)
Maserati Bi-turbo 51
Nissan Pulsar GTi 52
Rover ? 53
Peugeot 306
Datsun 240Z
BMW 750iL
Chrysler 300M 63
Alfa 147 2 litre twin spark 64
Alfa 156 2 litre twin s
park 64
Vauxhall Astra Convertible 65
Rover 75 CDTi Tourer age 65

I may have missed out a few... Which was the most fun to drive? Probably the Alfa Romeo 147, a veritable pocket rocket that was so much fun racing round the streets in Kigali! Or maybe the M5...although the Galant Turbo was the most comfortable long distance cruiser. Which were your favourites?
Nice

Some of that list really apeal and a good eclectic mix.

The Alfa's, Maserati, Soarers, M5 and clubman all cars you would want in a collection of driven cars

Oh plus the Rovers

Might have write my list down and see how many it is
