I made a simple reset tool from an OBD male socket with flylead (£3.20 from Ecofix.co.uk on E bay.) He is such a nice man to deal with too.

Please, please, don't bother with paper clips etc etc you could damage the OBD port, or worse! Also no need for so called, dedicated reset tools.
Phil-T4 has developed a dedicated piece of software to do the service/inspection reset. As well as set your own service interval (Rather than 15000 mls), set the IPK message centre language, enable the digital speedo, etc. Follow the steps below; 1. Buy a VAG 409.1 KKL cable from eBay (£5-10). 2. Open it up and connect/solder Pin 7 & 8 together. 3. Install drivers on your laptop. 4. Download THIS from the forum. 5. Connect the cable to your laptop and car and use freely, as many times as you desire, safe in the knowledge you will not screw anything up or damage your car. Happy days!
