Hi Sir Jeff (Coolcat)

You know about my 'Foray' into TPMS with Nav 3. I still have the TX type valves fitted to the car, and the aerial fitted in the windscreen. Are those parts all redundant now ?

Now that I have TPMS APP installed in my new 'Star', can you tell me what I would need to get this function up and running again, cost etc.

Cheers

Hi Alf,

Did you not order TPMS with your Navall Star?

If not, the Navall Star system is self contained and plugs straight in to the back of the head unit, no splicing or aerials or anything like that.
It comes with a set of external valves/dust caps and that is it.

Your old aerial is redundant and not needed as is any of the wiring.
I'm not sure if your internal valves would work with the system.

You would need to ask Sean that one and also on the cost as I don't have that information.

I'll send Sean a link to this so he can answer Sir

You Dont need an Aerial for the Navall Star TPMS Alf , Just screw on the New sensors to the valves .... Use the Navall Star Preinstalled APP

Hi Sean & Sir Jeff

No, it was never wired in on Nav 3 because aerial terminal was broken on TPMS unit. The broken TPMS unit was returned to Sir Jeff, and credit given.

So what I have now is the fitted TX valves & aerial that was for the Nav 3.

So the same question What do I need for the TPMS App to run on the 'Star' , and the cost

I love a bit of confusion.

Alf returned the old system Sean but obviously the aerial and internal valve sensors remain.
He will need the new Navall Star TPMS and ignore/remove the not needed aerial.

He could fit the supplied external sensors that come with the new TPMS but would be interesting/useful to know if the internal sensors he had fitted from the old system would work with the new Star TPMS receiver ?

I think that is what Alf wants to know, along with the price
