Jesus It might be me but driving a 14 year old R75 that was a superb car in its day why would you want to change the way it rides or sounds. Its been said many time when dealing with classic cars etc that modifications devalue the car thats all.

I intend to extensively sound deaden my tourer this summer.
I was in a zr last week before and after it. We car was so quiet you didn't have to raise a voice at 70mph to talk. I plan to do inside the door skins, the door skins fitting to the front, boot lid rear and the entire tourer rear boot floor for now.

I thought these were relatively quiet cars anyway.
How quiet do you want it? My diesel ZT-T now that is quiet for a diesel although I don't take any notice as I always have some form of music playing.

Thanks for this tip and I have bought the tape ready to do the job. Just a couple of questions: When you did the front channels where did you start putting tape in channel. Did you just do the top channel of the door at he top of glass, or did you start down by the mirror and go right round the channel and down the other side to door handle ? Same question for rear doors: Just the top of glass, or right round the door ? If you went round door corners, did you have to cut tape into corners, or just feed tape tightly round ? Did you use any particular tool for feeding tape into channel, or just 'Fingers'. By the way, I agree with your comments about Wind Deflectors. I had to remove mine because they created so much wind noise. Thank you trimani (ALF) |

I find the electric mirror button rattles too much, need to pop something under it to hold the button clear of its rest! No joking.
