Sounds exactly what I had just a couple of months ago, bottom crankcase pulley broken. mine sounded like timing chain rattle or cam belt tensioner rattle, sound went when engine was under pressure, only sounded once you took your foot off the gas and the engine was just ticking over but it was the bottom crankcase pulley.

The garage has confirmed that it is the pulley which has gone - less than three months after being replaced! Fortunately it is under warranty. The replacement pulley last time was not Corteco, so I have asked them to source a Corteco one this time.

On another thread it Island 4x4 was recommend as the best price supplier for these, however the garage called them and the pulley they are now supplying is from a Chinese manufacturer.

I know DMGRS do the pulley for £160, anyone else know of a better price elsewhere?

Here you go EBAY free delivery and £130.

Also another member has posted that Crank Technics are good, on EBAY for £99 with Gates belts and a new bolt.

Just to bring this thread to a conclusion: the part that failed was made by Gates TVD1068), the garage were very surprised and have sent it back to them for investigation. They have replaced it with a genuine Corteco item. Thanks everyone for your input and help. Love this place!
