Default Kenwood underseat Subwoofer

Hi All,

Just received a Kenwood subwoofer as above.

I have electric seats in my connie so can't fit it under them, there was no cd changer in the boot that doesn't help.

Any thoughts on where to fit it please?

Many thanks

Tom.

Hi,

Do you mean on top of shelf or underneath, if on top it would be on view to thieves.

Underneath. I have a woofer located there, from new. I'm guessing its possible to retro fit one.

I fitted my Alpine Amplifier on the passenger side under the fuse cover.

Fits perfectly and out of way/sight.

Just had mine fitted by a local well respected auto electrician, he advised against fitting it under the fuse box.

With careful positioning he has fitted it under the passenger seat where it is out of sight and the seat can still move back and forth with no problems.

Great sound.

Tom.

I have had subs fitted under the passenger seats in the past but these days I tend to fit them in the boot.
It does depend on the size of course, my current sub enclosure wouldn't fit under the seat, so at the moment it's in the boot and doesn't take up too much much space in the Tourer.
But I want to hide it, it's only a 450W Fli but they do have some depth to the speaker so I am looking around for something thinner that can can still deliver.

I have in precious cars put these small under seat subs inside the rear seat backs. Remove rear seat cover cut away some material from the rear and mount, seems to work well.

Hi Tom,

Yes I would have gone for under passenger seat, but electric seats meant no room.
So I went for the alternative, under the passenger side glove box.

Benefit was easy routing of cables. What I actually did was take the fuse box cover off, take indoors, line it all up nicely, drill and fit. Still easy to remove fuse box lid for fuse access, and amp controls.

All good when re-fitted and not in passenger way plus out of sight.

Needs must when the 'Devil' drives, as they say.
