You can get the Torque app from PlayStore, either free or the paid for version.

As I said, I'm not well up with computery stuff and eventually managed to get this working with torque pro (downloaded to my Samsung phone - the adaptor info said it didn't work with Samsung but it does!). The second time I tried it, I couldn't get it to connect and did the old, turn the phone off and try again and after inputting the security code (the second one suggested by the kit instructions) I had a bunch of clocks doing their job on the phone. The temp on my Connie 1.8 NA gradually climbed to 91/92 degrees and in heavy, standing and slow moving traffic, varied between 92 and 95 degrees. The speed was in kph but I'm sure that with a bit of fiddling, I can get it into miles. Nice toy for less than a tenner including downloaded programme. Worth that for an accurate temperature gauge!
No fault codes showing so that's good.
More to come as I delve deeper no doubt.
Mike

Trying out on mine, I get a "normal operating temperature" alarm at 71°C, is there anyway to adjust this? It seems to come on when the temp gauge gets to 9 'o' clock.

I take it that you need a lead to connect your phone to the OBD2 port and that it will only work on post 2004 diesels?

No need for a lead, works via Bluetooth with an adapter

It would be interesting to know what device everyone is using to get their readings.

Hi.
I've had one of those ELM Bluetooth thingys for some time, it works well with my HTC phone via Torq Pro. It's in my mind a toy though with just the dials and generic code reading, it can't even reset the service indicators.

You cannot beat a good old T4 and someone with the grey matter to work it.
I have the Pscan, it is a tool in progress and updates come out now and then.
