Default Door wont lock now!

This morning I had issues with my door being jammed shut, neither handle opening it.... I've managed to get the door open having torn out the door card from inside the car and getting the lock to open by operating the catch with my fingers....
Since then I've managed to get the thing working properly and put it back in the door. Now the door opens and closes with both the inner and outer handles.. Great I thought .
The problem now is that when I lock up the car, everything seems OK, the lock button pops down, but you can still open the door from the outside, setting off the alarm ( Only the one door, all others operating as they should )
I did disconnect the electrics from the actuator. I've tried disconnecting & reconnecting in various options ( Locked / Unlocked positions, and tried disconnecting the battery for 30 mins... but no joy.
Any ideas on the latest Hiccup anyone....
I'm being very patient with the car..... one thing after another!

Been playing this morning, but no luck.... door handle still opens the door when the alarm is set and triggers it to go off... tried unplugging the door actuator in all sorts of combinations. It's probably something simple but it's eluding me!! I'm sure it's to do with the electrics unless there is anything in the locking mechanism that isn't set correctly and allows the door handle to operate when the central locking is engaged, as mentioned all the other door locks OK, when you pull the handles nothing happens, they are clearly disengaged.... Any suggestions out there?

The thread in the White block may be stripped so the up and down Bar may be slipping.
