Default Remove front bumper...not so simple!

finally got my new resistor for the fan and went out to start...

in all the how tos, it says 9 bolts across the top...from what i can see, theres 2 bolts on each side, but then i have 5 screw type things, as below, not bolts...

is it these i undo?

even then,i got a screwdriver in and they just WONT turn

whats my options?

It's the screw things not the bolts, don't touch those they are the bonnet catch bolts.. Plusgas is your friend and copper grease on their refitment.. First time I took mine off it took plusgas (on for 24hrs) impact driver and I still had to drill one out..

Don't forget the 2 10mm bolts in the wheelarches and to undo all the archliner bits and undertray

I replaced the Resistor on mine for the "Big gold" one a few years ago (I have a 75) all I took off was the grille, obviously not as easy, but no need to take the complete bumper off.
And as for Copper grease, put it on every thread and bolt you take off (and be generous) you might never take it off again but if you do it will be a lot easier, a few seconds extra now could save you Hours later.

Is the grille separate from the bumper on your car? on the 75 the chrome grille is attached with plastic screws and pulls off leaving the "mouth" open.

I agree with above, all i did was remove the grill and do it from there. Little bit fiddly but doable, much better than removing bumper.

may not be able on the zed.... moulded part...

You need a chunky cross head screwdriver with a square shaft that you can get an adjustable spanner on to give you extra torque.... they will come out...

I could be wrong but on the ZT it's part of the Bumper...???

As far as the screws go mine came out quite easy after using penetrating spray and left overnight.
