Default Cable under drivers seat

I noticed this on the floor when changing handbrake compensator over.

I know it is supposed to attach to the seat but what is it for.

For now I might take the fitting off the passenger seat and fit to my seat.

That's for the seatbelt height adjuster in the "B" pillar, as you more the seat back and forward the seatbelt height automatically adjusts.

it has a pin and clasp assembly that slips in and turns to lock into position - i'd say try to get the proper part from a breakers
