How many wires are in the blue mini-iso plug?
As per topic really, how many wires are in the blue mini-iso plug?
I ask, as I've just bought an alpine cd changer with the strangest looking wiring loom I've ever seen. The CD changer itself has the standard square plug on the end of a 2" cable, as per the norm. It comes supplied with a loom to run it up to the head unit, but the blue mini-iso plug only has 3 wires in the back of it and lots of "loose" wires with various plugs on the end which may have to plug into the car somewhere? |

The loom in question can be seen in this ebay item - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ROVER-75-GLOVE...QQcmdZViewItem
Not a great photo, but the only plug I recognise is the blue one! |

Hi Rich,
That loom looks very odd and not one I've seen plugged into a Symphony. Would it be simpler for you to buy the MGR Symphony loom, part number VUL100330? Mike

Not sure to be honest, don't suppose you've got a photo of each end have you?
Have a terrible feeling about this! |

Yes Rich, they are an absolute bomb!
I got mine (original MGR lead, brand new) of eBay for the bargain price of £15 So it's worth having a look around... |

There are seven cables in the blue plug, one of which is the K-Bus connection (from pin 7 on the BMW plug - 16 go to the ISO plugs, one to the blue mini ISO)

Does the harness you have/are getting have an MGR part number? Worth looking it up out of interest?

It has a very unusual part number, STC53200
No trace on EPC and one result on google! I've ordered the VUL100330 from Rimmer this morning and also rang my financial advisor to discuss repayment terms on the new harness |
