Afternoon all, sat at work awaiting delivery of a mould from the toolmakers.

Managed to clean my plenum and change the pollen filter this morning before heading off.

Default Lates? Cam Belts

Got back from my visit to Lates for a Cam Belts change plus a service and check over, because of a severe rattle coming from the lower part of the engine on the offside, I decide to have the car transported to Rugby 58 miles away, just as well because when the bits and pieces were stripped down, it was found the belt tensioner had seized solid, Leighton (Lates) had said it could have shredded the belt at any time as the belt was extremely shiny and cracks had started to appear on the outside, I cannot thank them enough for a great job done in making sure everything was up and running after putting it all back together, it certainly opened up my eyes as to how much work is involved in doing this job.
I know because of money problems people attempt this all I can say is could luck
And I can see why cars are scrapped because of the cost involved, and why some garages won’t want to do it.
On the way home this would have been the first time I driven the car on a decent run well impressed, I have been told that the balance Viz Motor is not working so I need to get that sorted, so a chat to Stocktake is imminent.
