It's priced by volume. Just had 5 cubic metres delivered by the type of truck that mixes aggregate, and and cement on site (that way they only mix what is needed and there is no waste); the cost was £672 excluding the cost of the builder/you/labourer barrowing, laying, tamping and levelling. That was a Leeds price, I'm sure thaere will be variations both ways.

I might add I had a builder and mate excavate mechanically some old thick concrete, break it up and move it and import and lay some highway scrapings to ensure a uniform concrete thickness of about 4". but even all this labour etc cost less than the actual concrete.

Depending on access, some mixers will discharge into a small motorised dumper able to access spots where a standard dumper is too big and/or the volume of concrete is such that hand barrowing is not viable.

If you have a local friendly builder you can ask advice, otherwise do some ringing around. Let us know how you get on.

Or mix it yourself with a small electric mixer, ideally with a mate who can monitor the next mix while you lay the first, it halves the time. But in my experience of building my garage I reckoned that in one day it was only practical to lay about about 6 sqaure metres a day of flor thickness.
