Thank you for confirming the noise, at least I know I'm now diagnosing the issue correctly.

Could you possibly point me in the right direction as to how I can accomplish this? Would I be correct in one of my earlier musings as to be able to splice into the adapter cable from round to flat pin? I did plan on adding the clock module in if I could find the relevant information, and the adapter loom seems ideally suited to it as I can work on it away from the car.

I freely admit mucking about with wiring is an achilles heel, so any foolproof info appreciated
