Well done, again, Arctic. A 5mm Nyloc nut should have sufficient friction to keep it in place. How about a spot of thread-lock as belt-and-braces? Can't do any harm.

I have decided to eschew the M5 bodge (no disrespect, Arctic) and do a proper(?) engineering job. To that end I await an M4.5x0.75 tap and 3.6mm drill from Tracy Tools Ltd. My intention is to use a brass connector from an electrical terminal strip, tap the wire hole and use the original security screws to provide enhanced security against slippage.
