its not a bad idea as such there is always the risk of those scissor jacks collapsing when fully extended i just use a 2 ton trolley jack with axle stands . cant see any electric drill lifting a 1600 kg car no mater what make it is ( but i may be wrong) rgds mark

I like that, so much so that I think I'm gonna knock some up.

What a load of faffing about. I found it quite painful to watch to be honest. Would not be so bad if he had a handle for the jack. I have a block that fits over the trolley jack to close the gap. Five minutes and both sides are up on stands.

Reminds me of a typical 'JML' gadget. (Remember to charge the battery next time.)
A spindly screwdriver jacking handle doesn't inspire confidence But there are some jacking gizmos on UTube I wouldn't mind having. |

Yup, I was right. $125 each. $500 for 4. US dollars. That's like a million dollars Canadian!

Best ones I've seen , if a little scary, were axle stands that had a foot on them, which was flat running to a curve (like a shoe) . Wedge them against the chassis, and reverse back. They'd lift the car as it rolled onto their level foot. They'd only work effectively on non driven end of a 2wd though I would imagine. Sent from my SM-A600FN using Tapatalk

The neatest one I ever saw was the air jack used by Event Tyres vans. It was about 15" diameter, yellow, 3 vertical sections I think. An extremely tough piece of kit. One of them lifted the whole side of my 75 in 3 or 4 seconds. |
