GG- hope you'll forgive me hijacking your thread with some of my pics? I really must learn how to set up an album!

30 minutes out of Calais we stopped for a quick break - GG and Actros's cars line up

Four in a row on the way to Chateau De Bettemburg on Sunday - Christopher's R70 FVE is third in line

A total of 52 cars attended the meet

Including this one

GG's car gets the T4 Testbook treatment

More 75's!

Space was tight in the Hotel's underground garage lol

But plenty of room for Juergen's car

Alexander got his priorities right!

An interesting sight on the return through Belgium

Last leg as we leave Calais - homeward bound

A brilliant trip[ in the company of great guys (and Ev ) More than 1000 miles. R40 behaved perfectly, as did Alexander lol.

A scary looking bunch loose on the streets of Luxembourg

Juergen (centre) hard at work clearing up

Some nice pics there Mike.

Is that red car on the ferry (next to R40) a Jaguar XK?

Cheers Simon

Yes it is/was an XK. I was surrounded by classics in the ferry queue, Bentley's, Jags, MG's etc. so I guess there had been a big meet.

Then a guy came up to me and was very complementary about R40 I felt quite at home..............

Leaving Dover I then passed a load of TR6's and 7's in convoy plus two Hillman Imps Clearly a weekend for classic meets.
