Default Headlights

Hello All, I recently needed to change a headlight bulb but in the end gave up (went to sooth my skinned hands) and got my local Hafords to do it for me. Even they made a job and a half out of it. To cut a long story short, the bulbs were not fitted correctly and certainly did not illuminate directly ahead. So I went back to Halfords the next day and they got a so called expert to check and apparently the previous guy had tried to fit the bulbs in up side down, or so they said, and they had just come loose. No problem to re fit BUT they said that one of the inspections plates was missing (near side). It was there when I first went to Halfords and certainly put back on because I was wathing him do it. So obviously this wasn't fitted correctly either. I had to complain to Halfords customer services and they have told me that if I get a new one and send them the receipt they will refund me. Question is, where can I get one? Can anyone help? Thanks.

Thanks all.
Mr SMC is there a difference between the near side and off side? Your add says L/H. The one that Halfords kindly lost for me is the passenger side. If you let me know I will buy one now. Thanks very much

Thanks very much. I must be really stupid. Which is right and which is left, I mean I know which is which but depends which way I look at the car. Is there a standard way to look at the car?! Maybe easier if somebody tells me passenger side or driver side. I need passenger side. Ta very much

As our cars are RHD then I take right to be drivers/off-side

I agree with your logic completely Christopher. But if I am sanding at the front of the car looking at the right hand headlamp then this is near side, or passenger side. Anyway, that's the side where my inspection plate is missing.

How much did Halfords charge to change bulbs and did you buy them from them? Dave
