The duotone passed its mot during the week, having previously failed on sills.
Tom Hobbs sill panels were fitted.

Started RKZ with jump leads, as it’s been lying up for 6 months. Drivers door wouldn’t lock with key fob or internal button, but would happily unlock with both. Would also unlock using the key.
A swift blow to the handle area from inside sorted it.😃

Broke my *naughty word* *naughty word* cup-holder (well my brother did, stumbling as he got into the car). He'd been 8.5 hrs in A&E waiting to be seen, so it was hard to be angry with him... But I managed it! 😂

After 2 years of failing to produce anything more than an annoying beep when engaging reverse, I managed to get the after-market parking sensors working - even though there's one missing! Thanks to the lovely British weather over the past couple of days, the amount of water on the roads has obviously washed some crud out of the connectors and for the past three drives the system has worked.
Yes, I know I'll need to strip the back end down and work out what's going on and at least replace the missing sensor, but until then, I'm taking this as a win!

I bought a used ashtray/cup holder/power outlet assembly from a company in Livingston on eBay. It was the wrong colour - dark oak - to fit in my walnut adorned car. I was able to remove and replace my broken the cup holder and fit the walnut plastic capping on it.

Then having the new assembly allowed me to figure out how the ashtray latch worked (mine would not stay shut), so took the entire assembly out of mine, found the broken latch, replaced it with one from the new assembly. I then figured out a fix for the ashtray latch on the new assembly.

Put it all back in BINGO!

If anyone wants a Dark Oak ashtray/cup holder/power outlet (with damaged cup holder) - pm me I'll send some pics, or make me an offer to include p&p (£2.35)

Woo-Hoo!
My ZT-T190 has been approved for "Collector Car" status here in British Columbia. This recognizes the car as an excellent example of a low-production car. (Defined as less that 1500 produced worldwide in a given year).
The collector car designation disallows driving the car to and from work or school, which works fine for me as I'm retired. The positive side of this is a 70% decrease in insurance cost. It seems that not only do collector cars get driven less but they have very few accidents.
Thanks to Reebs and the club for supplying the production figures verifying the numbers built. A donation has been made to the club as thanks.

Hi,MOT tomorrow,so rear wheels off and handbrake readjusted, front droplink rubbers and track rod rubbers checked with usual wiper, lights check.Usually spend a couple of days checking it over but decided I've got to that age where I only want to do the basics,if it fails on the heavier stuff so be it.Keeping an eye on the sills but then again that is beyond my skills.Checked tyres and found a screw in one so spare put on.Regards Ry....
