Talk to me about lighting upgrades...
Hey, all,
I'd like to "modernise" the lighting on my car a little. I'd like clean white light from the headlights, and to use LED's for indicators etc. I believe for the standard headlights, Osram Nightbreaker Plus are the best bulbs? What would be my best option for the fogs and indicators to freshen things up? Thanks in advance for any info! |

There are dozens of threads on using LED type lighting. The easiest way to get what you want is to use the search button and enter 'LED'. The only way to 'whiten' the main beam lamps is to fit a HID system, but the Nightbreakers do come widely recommended..

The whitest light available in the dipped beam position is from projecter type lenses with either genuine xenon burners or a HID kit. The nearest for output would be night breakers in reflectors.
Front indicators, to remove the orange look, fit chrome coated bulbs, it will eliminate the fried egg look. Front fogs, the body of the lamp is slim. It's unlikely that you will find An LED which will fit this postion, but I stand to be corrected. The main beam, this is only used in the darkest night, clear bulbs of a decent quality will suffice, blue tinted bulbs leave blue hue in the lens when not in use. Hope this helps. |

I think looking at the two, Pab hid kit with 6000k projectors is the one you seek, much whiter light than mine but the osram night breakers are a big improvement on the originals, I don,t drive at night these days at my age I am in bed before it gets dark.-----GARY. ps your car looks nice Pab.
