Brand of oil.
Hi, what brand of oil do people favour for their cars? I'm about to go and buy some. My favourite brand of oil is Duckhams.

I purchased Halfords own brand fully synthetic when it was on half price offer last year. No complaints, but I don't think I would pay full price for any brand of synthetic oil.

The most important thing is specification. Whatever oil we select, it must comply with the specification ACEA A2 (A3 for the V6/190 and Turbos and A3+B3 for diesels). Brand is a personal subject, but I always used to buy Duckhams too. Of course the primary reason was the unique Duckham's colour. That's the power of marketing! Any big name is to be recommended.

Eyebrows raisedly I couldn't find any this morning so thought I'd try Magnatec once more. Both Duckhams and Magnatec are of the correct acea rating.
