Default Roll bar link or strut bearing

Went out to car turned steering wheel and it sounded like someone hit it on front underside with hammer bad clunking sound.
Had a look at rollbar link bushes have gone, but from my limited knowledge i dont think this would make the clunking sound if only wheel was turned.
Is this the sound of a top strut bearing or could it be the easy job of fitting roll bar link.
Regards
Bill

No none at all had a good inspection of springs as i thought it was one of them at the start. Only thing i can see is roll bar link defective so will change it in the morning, if clunking dosent stop will replace top strut bearings.

If it was a sudden bang then clonking I would would be looking for something that snapped or let go . As you said if it were just play in the drop links you'd have noticed some knocking already. Need both wheels of the ground give them a pull lock to lock and top and bottom should show up something.
