My darling Celia insists 15 denier are favourite but can't find anywhere the ones with the ankle-to-er, wherever, that you have to ask a 'friend' to straighten for you. Milady says she used to keep her lace edged hanky tucked into her knickerleg. The item she loathed most was her Liberty bodice and says it was very misleadingly named - probably by a man.

I live at the top end of a valley on a hillside, the ice age dug a deep gorge up here,so river is about 30ft below the lower levels of the town.So we are lucky here, apart from being a deprived area. Can someone please delete my 1st attempt.

Whoops! Arctic sea ice volume is back to its Jan/19 figures! Also, Saudi Arabia suffers record breaking cold and desert snow! Does Greta know? Or David A.?

You can delete it yourself with the info at the bottom of your post. Click on edit then on delete and just leave a row of dots. You can't delete the title though.---

First rainfall was measured in inches, then cm, and now millimetres. Just waiting for micrometres to be introduced. My weather stat favourite is 'The most rainfall since records began!' Well the Met office means 1914 which is around 100 years, (or sometimes 1659.) Age of planet is 4,500,000,000 years give or take a few million. I guess the dodgy data and fake alarm sells copy and attracts eyeballs, but it's hardly informative nor desirable.
