Blimey, long thread this one. Me and Mrs. Heddy have been 'vaping' since Easter 2013 with no problems. More energy, no coughs, mood swings or withdrawal symptoms. The liquid is quite strong at the moment, (you can get whatever strength you like) but we hope to weaken it. We've saved loads of money, the cartomisers, batteries and liquid can all be bought cheaply online, we use 'beste-cigliquid' Yes, there's always a catch......is there something we can use so we can give up vaping!

Looking into the subject of lung cancer I found out it starts up through having carcinogens in the lungs.

Also that the air we breath is full of carcinogens.

It seems that nicotine addiction is what makes smokers light up but it's not what does the damage !!!

Our broncial tubes have a coating of very fine hairs called CILIUM.

These hairs vibrate up and down.
Now here's the clever bit. They move upwards slowly and downwards fast.

When we breath dust particles into our lungs we also breath in carcinogens.
( Substances that can trigger off cancer )

Nature has designed this very clever way of keeping our lungs clean.
The dust particles settle on these hairs and the hairs move the dust up towards our throat slowly. The hairs then flick down a a high speed leaving behind the dust ( inertia. ) then slowly lift the next particles up and so on.
When the dust reaches the back of the throat there are sensitive nerves that detect it and these nerves make you cough and the dust is lifted up and swallowed to pass harmlessly through the stomach. ( ie. that TICKLE in your throat )
What happens when you smoke is that TAR from the cigarette coats these small hairs and sticks them down so they can no longer work. Thus all the particles of dust and carcinogens you breath in REMAIN in your lungs !!!

There the carcinogens do their insidious work and trigger cells into super fast reproduction. ( ie. the cells become CANCER cells. )

The manufacturers came out at one time saying their cigarettes were LOW TAR.
This was in an attempt to keep these cilium hairs working but was virtually useless.

Think how much dust lands on your car each day. A HUNDRED times more than this is taken into your lungs. Without natures cleaning mechanism your lungs will very soon be in a terrible state.

Imagine leaving the inside of you house for a year without sweeping up or using a vacuum cleaner. Try to picture the state it would be in !!!

The lungs of smokers are in that state ALL THE TIME.

Hope this helps someone give up.
