I've been reading it's getting ready for production next year. https://carnewschina.com/2022/06/09/...tion-in-china/

There appears to be a problem with supplying new MG's at the moment.

My son has one on order to lease, all signed and deposit paid and it was supposed to arrive mid June. Latest dialogue with MG are saying due to chip shortages/covid/war (sorry, military operation) delivery is unlikely to be before 2023!!

Yes It's not just MG, It's just about every other BEV manufacturer that are closing order books because of long lead times. Most are between 6-9 months due to supply & demand & of course the semi conductor shortages.

I avoid Chinese goods because the ruling Communist party is attempting to get rid of the Uighur minority by knocking down mosques, clearing away their housing, re-educating them and using them as paid slaves in the cotton industry. The communists can only rule, stay in power, if the economy grows. Buying Chinese goods helps keep the people repressed. I love the MG brand, but buying new MGs encourages genocide. M.

Yeah, the Chinese government is pretty grim, mind you if we boycotted everything from China we wouldn't have much, MG cars are only a fraction.

Add to that all the Chinese manufactured parts that go into products including most smartphones life would be very different

A few more specs revealed about it today, It has a Euro NCAP 5 star rating & the price in China will be no higher than $29630 /£24358. Be interesting to see the price when it gets over here.
