Default Xtrons aerial/ antenna connection

Hi folks,

I picked up an Xtrons ICE system to replace the standard stereo in my 2005 ZTT. It is all complete and I have made sure it is all 'live' - but I can't find anything in the supposedly complete kit to connect the standard aerial socket to the back of the stereo.

I assume it comes in to the bit marked 'radio' on the back of the header unit?

Could anybody advise me on what I need to pick up to get the aerial signal into here please? Many thanks, Rich

Hi Rich,

That looks suspiciously like the ones on my Passat.

Fakra I think.

You'll need an adapter from whatever your ariel has at the moment to Fakra. The link has lots of pics for identification.

Sadly it sounds like Jubbarelly isn't trading any more as he'd know instantly.

Good luck.

Andy.

My radio aerial plug is also missing on the back of my Xtrons unit - missing for the simple reason that I just could not get the unit in place with the supplied aerial plug in place. It came down to a choice of either having the Xtrons flush with no aerial plug or sticking out a good bit. Perhaps the original owner experienced the same difficulty. I ended up with a small length of wire at 90 degs taped in place, does the job.

Regards
