Default ZT 260 Development Car VIN 007

Well after four or more years at A E Wilcox, 07 is on the way to a new home and hopefully a re-incarnation. All donations gratefully received, particularly a complete set of ECUs!!!

John Wilcox still believes that this car was once a supercharged auto, but Nic (Rincewind) tells me that no such beast existed. It has, however, definitely been/is an auto, having only two pedals.

I have been in contact with Ian Pogson and Gary Egan at MG Motors Ltd to enquire whether there is any chance of liberating one of the V8 development cars, still at Longbridge, to act as a donor car. A very long shot and I'm not holding my breath. Failing a miracle, the search is on for a suitable (written off) donor car. Again, I would be grateful for any pointers.

In the meantime, I have entrusted the restoration to Corin Messenger and together we will try and come up with a cunning plan!

B----y Hell!!

I thought my S-plate restoration was going to be a bad enough job, but you guys look as though you've got even less to start with .

Well done for even thinking about it.

There's brand new V8 Stuff Up assemblies (front & rear) in Storage in the midlands.
I've seen them in the flesh couple of years ago. Some had Rouche Chargers fitted.
Good luck with this project.

PS
Looks like you need a complete Cooling fan assy & Condenser which I could help with

Hello Jules, Hello Lewis,

Many thanks for your good wishes and offers of assistance.

Corin and I are going to carry out an assessment of exactly what's required, apart from the obvious! At this stage we both think that the ECU setup is likely to be the biggest challenge.

In the meantime, Jules, I would certainly be interested in the fan assembly, if you could let me know a price and also a contact/location for the Midlands V8 goodies, if they are still there!

Thanks, Tony.
