freelander burr walnut grips will work on a 75,but need drilling out,and a bit of tape to make them a tight fit.

 Phil, I am ashamed to say that I butchered a beautiful brand new Freelander walnut jobbie by being over enthusiastic, and chipping off the end veneer.... sob sob. Luckily it only cost me a tenner, but my pride was hurt

I've seen a few on ebay for around the £8 - £12 mark, these any good?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/burl-walnut-ha...item3a53e40388

Also, how does the original leather one come off? Pull job like the gear knob? What is the drill bit size required ?

I feel a gentle tap on the shoulder of my father in law coming on. A favour please

that's the one..the original one is stuck on with a black sticky strip, could pull and a twist will remove it.

The Freelander wooden handbrake handle will need to be boared out to 20mm to fit in the 75

Looks smart, sadly Pab not near me

I've placed an order anyway. The father in law has more tools & gear than Brandon Tool Hire and a guy in work here is very good at the old wood work so shouldn't be a problem.

Postal strike pending hopefully all fitted in a week or so
