Stop light/ clutch switch
Does anyone know if the stop light switch is the same as the clutch pedal switch as I am getting an intermittent fault on my 51 plate V6 conn se. My brake lights occasionally stay on for a short while after I have stopped braking, I believe the fault to be the switch and was hoping to put the clutch switch on the brake pedal to test this theory.
I have adjusted the switch but the problem was not resolved |

Clutch switch as on cruise control I guess?
The brake switch is a proximity device. There are no contacts as such. The Haynes manual describes the way to adjust it. Has that not worked? TC |

It states that letting the pedal up too quickly will result in the switch being incorrectly adjusted. The trouble is, I can be gentle while I'm adjusting the switch, but during sharp braking I can't be, so it probably moves again. I've considered adjusting it and then locking it in position somehow, but havent got round to it yet. |
