Hi Pip,

I would like to echo T-Cut's observation. Your white clip appears to be fitted on the skew, unless it's a camera illusion. If so, that suggests that Mr. Previous Owner separated the two halves of the filter (not recommended) and had the reported difficulty putting them back together again. If the seal between them isn't perfect there will be no fuel pressure which appears to be what you're experiencing.

Blocked pipes and injectors are extremely unlikely.
