Red face Harman Kardon upgrade

Hi

Any help would be appreciated in this my first post.

I have a Symphony head unit in my Rover 75 Conn SE and I have read that there was a Premium upgrade using a HK sub and amp.

Can they be retro fitted easily or should I give up. I have heard that some have managed it but I cannot see how. My wiring looks different.

Thanks for the great site.

Can't help on the HK set up but this is the much cheaper alternative I had installed in my Symphony and am well pleased with the results.

Now that I would be interested in, at a sensible price obviously the HK system in my 190 although not perfect is miles better than the standard Hi-Line I have in the CDT

Need the whole lot though, Amp, Bracket, Sub, all door speakers and tweeters plus the harnesses.

Not sure if the door speakers are in the pack but that is the least of your worries as any proper In-car audio centre can suply suitable speakers if not the HK ones.

I have a Brand New HK Amp and Harness (Tourer I think) New HK Front Tweeters in Garage, will look them out tomorrow and if you can source the rest, let me know keith. (Bought it to do SWMBO's 75 when she gets it but she wouldn't notice anyway).

Hi John just speed reading some threads to catch up, I also have some HK Tweeters somewhere!

I will need the sub thing for the parcel shelf etc, be interesting to see what is in the kits Andy might get

Afaik the amp should bolt straight on to my highline nav bracket.

Cool

John/Keith

The kit which includes harness looks promising. I see the 'new' harness has 25wires going into the two sockets on the amp. The wiring diagram confuses me somewhat. Anybody know if the other end simply fits into the back of an existing Symphony or will yet another converter be required?

Any news on the price of the harness??
