How about meeting up at Strathclyde Country Park - off M74 at Motherwell? Nice spot for photos and also there is a Toby Cavery close by.............

Both venues sound good. Out of preference Silverburn would probably suit best (for the benefit of SWMBO ). Time wise afternoon would suit me best. As a suggestion for a date how about Sunday November 23rd, far enough away so that diaries can be sorted, not too close to Christmas so as to avoid the rush?

Is there somewhere to eat nearby if we wanted to go for a meal, as the thing that disappointed me with Silverburn was the lack of places to eat if you did not like sushi and everywhere was mobbed

yeah........... McDonalds, we could make it into a cruise! lol.
I'm with Simon though, Silverburn would be best for the Mrs but Strathy Parks not a bad idea either. |

There's also a Brewers Fayre 5 mins drive away, or a chinese 5 mins up the motorway at rouken glen. Silverburn would be my choice too, 10 mins from home, 5 mins (walking) from work.

http://www.silverburn.com/website/De...2-f1d27aec86cc As Scooterchick says, there is The Hurlet (not sure if it is still a Brewers Fayre as it does not show on their website) nearby plus numerous other options within a 5-10 minute drive. I think if we leave it until the 23rd of November we will be in amongst the Christmaas Shoppers, even on a Sunday, and parking all of us together would be very difficult. Who would be available for the 2nd of November? Derek Last edited by derekosb; 14th October 2008 at 09:09.. Reason: Added link to Silverburn website |

I could maybe be up for it. Depneds on a few other things. Silverburn is about 3 miles from my house so I'll offer my two bob's worth.
The place has the most massive car park I've seen and is almost full to capacity on weekends. The very top end over to the left of the M&S end would be the place to go. In the very begining that part would never see any cars. I park there all the time to stay away from careless sods. It gets about half to 3/4 full now. 10-15 75s could fit in at the top end. Hope this helps Cheers John |
