I've booked a few nights at the Forest Gate Lodge in Ashurst (near Lyndhurst) contact:- Mrs. Hanlon on 023 8029 3026. They have double, twin and family rooms at very reasonable prices. Comes up on "Explore The New Forest.co.uk" website, which also has a fair choice of B&B alternative accommodation. To avoid the worst of the bank holiday traffic, I'm taking a long weekend from the Thursday night to the Monday night, and it gives me a chance to explore a bit of the New Forest as a bonus.

Just a word of warning, the M27 has road works at the moment and will have on the weekend of the meet (unlikely to lift them I would think!!), these run from the M3 junction to J1. But it is quite easy to bypass these by coming off the M3 at Eastleigh North and then following through Chandlers Ford then into North Baddesley, then on down to Rownhams and the Hotel, very straight forward if you look on a map and will save lots of time being stuck in traffic.

It looking good for the meet and a good weekend at the hotel, a mini meet on the friday and sunday night as well.
