Unhappy Eric needs help with 'Symphony' system

Hello to you all - I'm new to this Club and the car so the leaning curve is steep!!
My problem is that the head unit does not appear to communicate with the cd autochanger ie with 6 cd's loaded correctly, on pressing 'cd' on the head unit the display says 'NO Tape'. I can hear the cds being accessed one at a time but no indication on display and no play of any cd. I believe the link is via the 'K' bus but cannot find any wiring diagram that shows the route between head and cd units. Can I simulate a 'K' bus signal at the cd unit ?
I bought a new cd autochanger but no cure. Cannot be sure if head unit is outputting onto 'K' bus. I bought the car with this problem and got a price reduction to compensate. I will be very grateful for any help that you experts can supply.
ps. how does one delete 'posts' that are no longer relevant ?
Many thanks. Eric 2001 75 CDT

Re Deleting posts.
If you wish to delete an error post etc, go to the Post hit Edit, then select Delete, give reason then complete.
Problem Posts are best left to help others that come up with same problem in future.
Someone will be along shortly with help with your Symphony unit, but it sounds as if it is not communicating, so check all leads and connections at rear of units first.
If you have any matching boxes such as Connect 2 suspect these as well as they often play up.

The K-Bus connection is in the the Blue mini ISO plug which is the one for the CD changer, it is the White/Red/Yellow cable.

You might have done this but have you pressed the tape/cd button twice.
First time the button is pressed it switches to tape and the second time to CD

Thanks for info John - have checked all connectors and pins but am fairly certain that it will be the 'K' bus that is not tx.ing to the CD.

All the connectors seem ok plus pins and am wondering if its possible to inject a signal direct into the cd ie. replicating the 'K'bus
