Traction control
Dear all,
I´m just a few clicks away from buying a 260. I have some questions about the TC of this cars. Do all ZT260´s have a TC? So MKI and MKII? Is it possible to switch it off on all models? Where is the switch located in the fascia? Thank you very much for answers, Regards, Chris |

Well come along, Only MKII's had TC and yes it can be turned off. Get yourself over to, the home of the 260

The Traction Control is a crude affair compared to the Front Wheel Drive set up Best of luck with your search Ian |

You simply do not need TC
even with a blown car yes I did discover it can spin the wheel in the wet in third at motorway speeds if I do something silly, but ones right foot is a very capable TC device |

A lot of us turn the TC off, it's basic and brutal and you're better off wihtout it IMHO

See, I worry about this...mine is a Mk2 with TC and it has NEVER kicked in...even when wheel-spinning / tail sliding off a roundabout due to a slick surface and too much welly.....crude and brutal? More like non-existent?

Sounds like it's not working at all, if it kicks in it simply cuts the power and can leave you stranded half way across a junction just when you need the power!
