Default Wanted Traffic Master IDC connectors

Anyone have any spare Rover vampire connectors or IDC connectors as used in the traffic master retro fit. I am looking for 2 or 3.

Why?

From experience I have come to the conclusion these kind of mechanical connectors are just awful. The very design by its nature damages the conductors they are cutting into this can lead long term to all sorts of nasty electrical gremlins especialy if used for lighting circuits such as tow bar installs etc where the exposure to air causes the coper to go green.

You really can't beat stripping the wires back soldering and heat shrink sleeving and typically especially for the traffic master install it takes no longer to do as all three wires can easily be removed from the connector shell to slip the sleeving over

Keith

I would agree the Scotcklok type of connector you can get from Maplin are dreadfull but the Rover ones work pretty well. It's to wire in the Hans clock mod to my hi-line.

sorry to jump in but as you are installing a traffic master I thought you may be able to help. I have traffic master om in my ZTT Rover Mg factory fitted audio instructions and a simple display via the instrument pack. Two question 1: can you add the Traffic master screen to it 2; is it a plug in item. thanks woolleysox
