On a brim to brim test I average 22mpg but then it is a turbo auto box. When I get onto a motorway it can nudge up to 30mpg.
But as my fuel costs half that of petrol, I make that 44 and 60mpg

1.8T manual saloon with 15" Michelin Energy tyres.
working out "brim to brim" over the past 10 months, ~33mpg mainly around town (falling to 31mpg with AC) and ~38mpg mainly on the motorway (falling to just under 36mpg with AC). I've gotten 41mpg on a completely motorway run with two refuels doing 75mph. |

Have a 1.8T manual. I commute 60 miles per day all motorway always at a steady 60 - 70 MPH and achieve a regular 36 MPG, that's according to my onboard Scangauge and a manual record I check with a spreadsheet periodically. (not too anal then  )

Around town The Boss (1.8T manual) averages 27 mpg, taking her for her first run to Devon soon.
Cheers Tony

1.8 owners mpg
I have the non- turbo 1.8 and on a run say going up north (A9) i have had 42-44mpg, that keeping it to about 55-65mph when possible, using car for work probably about 33-36mpg which is not bad at all for the size of car.

Mines 1.8 manual and get 37-38 on my daily 120 mile commute, which is much better than my Alfa 1.8 that managed 27 at best!
