Default Further Nano-Meets in Wolverhampton.

It seems, by all accounts, that the Nano-Meet at my house recently was a success.

Rob (Trebor), SWMBO and I have had a chat and are very keen to do the same again if it would be of use to anybody.

The philosophy is thus:-

There are lots of people who would like work done on their cars and either cannot do it themselves or, more likely, would like to try but with the confidence boost of having somebody to hand to say "Yes, that's right" or "Why not try it this way".

The way it worked out at the last meet, everybody was working on all the cars and it seems, in doing so, we all learned some good stuff

Bear in mind, of course, that this was a cooperative and nothing was done without the active agreement of the individual owners.

Rob and I between us can help in quite a lot of ways, including, but not limited to, powerfold fitting, remote transmitter / receiver for lazy locking / venting, the "bumper off" jobs etc. etc.

I had a very positive response from my neighbours after the last meet which was also very encouraging and bearing that in mind, along with my continued harmonious relationship with SWMBO, we don't think such a meet would be appropriate for major jobs ie. anything not comfortably completed on a few hours and which might cause oil stains on the (terracotta) drive

We've had some very positive offers of assistance as well. Not mentioning names to spare their blushes but these include, the use of a T1 diagnostic, along with several other OBC based diagnostics and a wealth of experience in LPG and a ready supply of bacon One forum member has even agreed to provide a gazebo in the event if inclement weather

Rob and I would welcome other offers of assistance in individual areas of experience or expertise, mixing and matching abilities so that we all get done what we want to get done on our own cars whilst giving what assistance we can either as the acknowledged expert or another pair of hands ready and willing to get stuck in.

Ideally, we'd like to get another meet in before the weather turns irrevocably wintry.

So, it's over to you. Anybody interested?

Please note that this is an idea of ours and as such, is not sponsored by the club administration... although Pete did get stuck in at the last meet

OK chaps. Please let us have some clues as to what you want doing. It's almost certain that Rob will be having his powerfolds done so might be worth getting involved if you have the same idea

Anybody who wants to offer their services please let us know as well.

No date set yet but will be a Sunday some weeks hence.

I would like to come along to overcome my inertia and procrastination with fitting powerfolds!
Let me know if you want smoked or non-smoked bacon.

Do you want me to manufacture a loom then?

I've got several hundred metres of wire here!
What does the loom consist of? I don't want to be any trouble.
