WANTED - Connoisseur SE Diesel Estate
. . .I'm probably joining a long queue . . but I'm looking for a Connoisseur SE Diesel Estate.
Preferences . . .. Age . . Not so bothered about age, as mileage and condition and service history. Probably anything after 2002. Pricing . . .up to £6k Timing . . . next few months Location . . .not bothered. Willing to travel to any point in UK / Ireland for a good 'un. It will be going to a very good home . . I'm a chartered mechanical engineer who's just (reluctantly) parted with a Morgan. And I still use flushing oil when I do an oil change (and synthetic oil....). It'll even go in the garage Thanks Ian Last edited by nodder; 22nd August 2009 at 09:32.. |

Have you considered a pre Project Driver Connie? These have better quality finishes - particularly the real wood dashboard.

Hi Scarbs - Thanks for the thought. Yes, I guess, I'd take a serious look at any age. Condition, history, mileage and spec are far more important.
Cheers Ian |

Thanks ! Worth a look, but the manual 'box and estate body are really 'must haves'. Cheers. Ian.

We have one
Hi.
We have a Rover 75 CDTI Connoisseur Estate 2001 - diesel with manual gearbox. Only negative point is that it used to belong to HSBC (some director's car) and mileage is high - over 150K to date. Full service history till the time we bought it - 1 April 2006. We're getting on in years and thought maybe a Automatic one will be better for our legs! Any offers appreciated. |

Many thanks to all !! Great help
The ones on AutoTrader are 'possibles', but I'd really like the light coloured - sandstone, cream - leather interior (appreciate that I may end up compromising to the dark grey leather). To wildfirejc . . .greatly appreciated, but I think the 150k puts it out of range. I'm looking to keep it for a good few years and I put about 12k a year on. Once again - really appreciate all the help. Ian |

I wouldn´t let high milage put you off. The car I´ve got is what you are looking for (but of course LHD). It has been really well looked after and has done nearly 160 thousand km. It looks as though it´s done about 40 thousand. Was bought by a Swede in Germany when it was 6 months old and had 1500 km on the clock. He worked for IKEA sourcing lumber for the furniture. This took him to places east of Moscow and everywhere in between. I can´t find any fault with it apart from a few small things. Had a full comp. test done here (M test, like AA test) before I bought it and they couldn´t find anything wrong with it either!. Motor, drive train, suspension A1. Just done 4200 km in it on hols to south coast (relatives etc) and it goes like a dream. Got it at a very reasonable price as Rover has a bad name here (if they even know what it is!) The spec. 2005. Diesel, tempest grey, sandstone leather, SAT Nav, cruise control, memory el seats, rain sensor, power folds, sunroof, detach towbar (Brink), back sensor, xon lights, diesel heater (FSH), twin fork alloys. It came with Thule roof bars and bagage net/dog guard. Been watching 75s for about a year and a half before I bought this. My advice is bide your time and don´t be put off the milage. I would get the one owned by the couple in Kent AA tested and then probably get it. If it had been LHD, it would be sold know! Good luck! Alan Last edited by Roverowner; 23rd August 2009 at 09:24.. |
