I can relate...Here in Western Canada no-one has ever seen a ZT.
I have had people ask me if my car is an Alfa, a Maserati, and one even thought it was a Bentley! Buying a ZT isn't nearly as inexpensive here as in the UK, as shipping a car halfway across the world costs a bundle, but when people hear my ZT cost less than half of the cheapest Hyundai they can't believe it.

I had this the other week, nipped across the Reedham ferry (a chain driven raft to cross a local river) the skipper says ‘that’s a nice car, what is it? MG ZT I replied, he then said I didn’t know Mg made a car that looks that good’

Lady in the shop today remarked...
“Ooh, you can leave that (car) to me”.

Young girl behind counter remarked..” i wouldn’t drive that if you paid me”.

Horses for courses, but I did tell the older lady that she had taste.😬

I've had more than one customer comment that i must be paid too much when i turn up at their homes only to be more than a little surprised when they are informed that she's nearly 20 now and cost me the grand sum of £300 a few years ago

A mondeo driver at the petrol station asked what my car was so told him it's a Rover 75. His reply was "Really! I didn't know you could still buy them"
