R.I.P. John Wilson
Possibly the most watched angler in the world and one of the inspirations for many an angling lifetime John Wilson died yesterday following a stroke...
Started out in Edmonton where I learned fishing on the river Lea navigation... Tight lines John

Even though I was never really interested in fishing myself, 'Go Fishing' was always a wonderful program to watch.
RIP.

Sad times RIP JW.
I learnt a lot from John Wilsons fishing books and programmes he did, I have his fishing encyclopedia above my PC on a shelf.

Oh gosh! Such sad news.
I met him in his shop in Norfolk when I was a little boy. He gave me a photograph and signed it.

Rip John Wilson.
Always was my favourite fishing personality, his enthusiasm and decency made his shows stand out from others.

Loved his show, his laugh and his personality! I don't like puddle chucking, I'm a sea angler, but he made every aspect of the hobby watchable and his sea fishing content was always top notch. I grew up watching him, rex hunt,Matt hayes and my personal favourite Henry Gilbey, who happens to live just up the road from me.
