If the purpose-built mounting system was adapted slightly it could be placed nearer the centre of the car, with two extra features (which could come at extra cost - which means I'll be asking for commission )

It could be seen more easily by the driver, and it would be washed automatically by the screen washers, to make sure the light would always be visible.

I think you've missed the market here, Simon! Surely, all these 75 owners would want it with a blue LED permanently on to show the main warning light itself has not failed, and with washer jets combined into it for added purpose. You could even add a small speaker that imitates the sound of a dump valve - whooooooooosh

Could you explain why the ecu could be moved to the passenger seat? Would it not be easier and less costly to put it in the wine cooler like I have? Less wiring and less hassle.

We have no problem with this being advertised on the forums but we did not get an email telling us we would get the usual 30% rake off and first refusal of the European franchise...............this is something that we have come to expect and should it not be forthcoming we will be sending the boys round. Believe me you would not like it if the boys came round as they drink coffee like there's no tomorrow

In the meantime please send us 15 for appraisal and for us to put on ebay

Ken, if there were 15, wouldn't that mean it can't be described as rare?

COLLIT: Yes there is a wife shift option (at extra cost). There is also an HSO (husband shift option) which is available absolutely free to all ladies. This option enables the fairer sex to eliminate the major nuisance in their lives.

APYWELL: We had thought of that but it got in the way of the chest-piercing spike option (which is mounted on the steering column through the airbag module). Sorry.

BAXLIN: We are always open to any suggestions which lead to 'extra cost' and will therefore take the centre mounting theory into consideration. However, the auto washing idea is not a viable option with the 24Kw Dino 24 lamp housing. This is because the Dino 24 creates so much heat, that any water coming withing two metres of it instantly turns to vapour.

MARTIN W: We do not approve of blue LED thingies, especially on motors as refined and elegant as the 75. We believe these cheap and tacky devices smack of 'boy racerness'. However, we do like the concept of having a warning system for the warning system - an admirable idea. The expression "even my goose pimples have got goose pimples" springs to mind.

KEN:How much grovelling do you consider adequate, and where do you want the cheque sent to?

Simon, someone's beaten you to it, only it wasn't on a 75. And it wasn't on the bonnet, it was on the roof. And it WAS blue, but it was flashing....

Don't like the design at all. If the lamp was something like this, it would look more the part for the Rover 75.
