I had been told on the phone they would have been able to cater for us all - there was just no where to park.

I was unable to book because it had been decided that we were going to play it by ear on the day. Today was a trial meet and I am glad it went well up until the meal.

I hope that people enjoyed the day - I am sorry Stephen that I let you down

No question that you let anyone down Jake none of us were that familiar with the area and you went on what the pub told you, the rest of us were going to join you but Wooleysox said after he had spoken to you that the pub was rammed and there was nowhere to park so we didnt think it worth coming and assumed you were all leaving for home.

A lesson for us all here is to exchange each others mobile numbers so we can stay in touch that could have solved todays problem.

Thanks again for a great meet

Had a fantastic day out. The food venue was full so some of us went elsewhere.

Loved the parade and fast drive. I took heaps of photos and will post soon.

Thanks guys for another good day.

Edd

Fantastic day out and I didn't bring my car.

We couldn't get into the pub so went elsewhere.

Thanks for a nice day.

Well that was fun considering I didn't intend to go

Getting lost is all part of the Fun!

Love the Sideways stuff following Andy around the track
I managed to get the same angle of attack but not for the same amount of time.

It is a shame the FWD cars had to og first because we were giving the cars some stick which probably looked quite comical form behind

Nice to be able to let the car rip for a change I had some detonation from the blower so had to back off still wound up to a fair rate of knots though.

Some pics taken as a first outing with a Nikon Coolpix 8800 point and shoot that I bought on Ebay for peanuts.

Going Home FAST!

we had i nice meal with Bernard so it was not all bad , your folks looked p**d off so i can understand your having to leave just a shame things went not as we would of wished . parking was a bit full but i managed to get a space but it was only by chance. as not all was in your control not you fault if you where told wrong , we spoke to some folk by where you were parked and they said it was always busy . over all it was fine and i await your next event

Really enjoyed it great day if a little cold

Thanks to Jake for organising it - pity y'man at Bruntingthorpe wanted to get home to watch the F1 or I guess we could have done more

Managed an indicated 130+ on the 2 mile straight - might have been a bit better if I'd remembered to turn off the traction control lol, could have done with another run

Got 16+ minutes of incar HD video which will take ages to upload to YouTube - I'm sure they've got a max of 15 minutes so I'll probably have to split it into two, hopefully get it uploaded tomorrow

Finally a thanks to Woolleysox for the guided tour

please can we do it all again.

Cheers
Jim

Fantastic day! Fantastic turn out! Fantastic time on the track.....even with mateyboy doing his 720 degree 'pirouette'.....so much for superchargers..

And my favourite.....a car with the words 'FUN' plastered all over it...and with Christmas lights too! Owned by extremely nice guy AndyG

'Course, the whole event left some people dazed and confused...

And some of us had God's own roads to drive home on...

HUGE thanks to Jake for organising this.....
