V8 what is it worth?
HI Folks,
im new here, but a fully fledged member of the mustang forum, and car enthusiast!!! i have a question if you do not mind, i bought a MG ZT 4.6 V8, fully forged with a procharger supercharger and all the goodies!! ( totaled around £17000 to build new!!) its only got 5000 miles from new. the plan was to put it in the mustang, but i later found out it involves a lot of cutting and bending of my precious car!! so its not going into it now. any idea on what it might be worth? i paid £7k for it off a friend i need of cash! if its not worth much ill just keep it but would be interesting to know if it does have some value. it maxed out the dyno at 540hp ( 5400rpm ) still had more to go but the dyno only read to 540?!! also 500ftlbs!! appreciate any thoughts. Pictures would be good
500+ HP is a bit over what the T3650 box will take I reckon. Assuming it's the engine only. ZT 260 has very limited space left in the engine bay. Only real option is a Kenne Bell, which is a proven set-up and supported for the 260. The bay doesn't even have enough room for the V8 3-valve engine |

It is a real shame it can't be seen as a runner it its previous ZT.
I would like to know more about how the gearshift is setup etc if a different box is being used Last edited by Keith; 9th June 2010 at 19:09.. |
